Fish and marine

Great whites, old fishermen, tall ships and the creatures of the deep. This is the work closest to home: most days off are spent on the water, and it shows in the detail of scales, fins and moving water.

Underwater leg sleeve

An underwater leg sleeve in progress: a deep-sea anglerfish, a crayfish, a shipwreck and a shark, over a couple of big days.

About fish and marine tattoos

Marine pieces need movement: water that looks wet, scales that catch the light and an animal that feels like it could swim off the skin. Dylan designs each one from scratch around your placement, so a marlin follows the line of a chest or a shark wraps a forearm instead of sitting flat on top of it. [Dylan: add a line about the species you most like tattooing and why.]
